What we do

ICT and Graphical Design

  • Software development

Logotips Financiadors del Projecte

SIG-A: Development and Implementation of a Web-based Geographical Information System for the management of Urban Accessible routes. The SIG-A is a product with a high level of innovation that has been developed through the research project co-funded by the Spanish Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade (Plan Nacional de Investigación Científica, Desarrollo e Innovación Tecnológica 2008-2011) and the European Union (FEDER). Project Reference: TSI-020302-2009-73 and website

SERADAP: This project consists in the development of a management program of specially adapted minibus service for people with reduced mobility in Barcelona city.

TEH Santa Eulàlica de Ronçcana Council: it has developed municipal management tools based on new technologies specially aimed at small municipal councils. The tools use the necessary technology in every stage – from text processors, geographic information systems, internal and external communication tools, tabulated databases, to administrative management processes.

  • Update of PGM Cartography

It involves bringing up to date city-planning classifications and qualifications compiling all the variations of the Plan, with the definitive approval and outlining the scope of intervention.

Example: City council of Sant Boi de Llobregat. This work is useful so as to have an urban plan and to be able to have a base from the moment of the incorporation of the regulations for each sector; the width of avenues, the concessions of city-planning licenses can be automated.

  • Digitalisation of planes

In order to facilitate the work of the technicians in the future, the possibility is offered of digitising the information of city council plans. There is also the possibility of updating them.

Example: City council of Valls. Five buildings in format CAD have been digitised.

  • Data GIS

In order to facilitate, in the future, the management of an accessibility plan, the possibility of the digitalisation of the municipal data in a geographic information system is offered.

Rehabilitation building design
  • European Projects of basic investigation in Design All

HOMEDOOR: Multidisciplinary project with the objective of developing technology for a home based delivery system, with no need for the presence of the client, which is accessible for all and improves, thus, their quality of life.

ELDERATHOME: Criteria for the construction or rehabilitation of buildings and surroundings that allow solve the limitations of older people and offer solutions to make their life more independent and autonomous as possible.

  • Standardisation Proposals

Design for All and Technical Assistance, the objective of which is to include the criteria of Design for All in the rules and regulations within the field of the technologies of the information society.

Study on Multi-form of icons, symbols and pictograms.

Access for all to services based on electronic cards. The regulations will define a series of requirements and recommendations on the installation and positioning of card reader mechanisms to facilitate the access without obstacles, of suitable dimensions, adapted spaces in front of the mechanism and the forecast of the characteristics user interface so that it can be used by the greatest possible number of users without supervision and subject to certain conditions of privacy and security.

Design for All on the Internet
  • Design for All on the Internet (Web Accessibility)

In order that every person can benefit from the Internet, a set of guidelines, known as WAI, are available. These guidelines allow the achievement of various degrees of web accessibility. In our proposal to the solution in this field, we not only adhere to these guidelines but we also propose the improvement of the consistory corporative image and the increase the benefits of the visits to the web applying a design paradigm for everyone.

The web accessibility adaptation to Design for All consists of two parts that are integrated into only one study: on the one hand, carrying out an audit of the existing website or supervising a process to apply the guidelines of usability established by Jaokob Nielson and other internationally recognised experts. On the other hand, carrying out an audit of the existing website or supervising a process in which the WAI guidelines are followed.

Example: Reports from the Igualada City Council, Metropolitan Transport Authority.

Design of new service through the Internet
  • Design of new service through the Internet

Example: Access to the Internet from public areas, establishments, etc, has become yet another public communication service at citizens’ reach. New accessible information points for all need to be designed.

  • Specification Advice

Example: ETSI STF 183. Icons, symbols and pictograms are actually the most used for navigation in telecommunication services. The objective of the working group was to elaborate symbols and pictograms that are presently the most commonly used help navigation tools in the majority of telecommunication services. The aim of the working group was to elaborate a study of the needs and requirements for the use of these icons, symbols and pictograms in multiform interfaces, putting a special emphasis on the needs of the people with disabilities and older people.
